Citrix Error message “Failed to import summary file” Citrix Resource Manager

Quick Fix

This is an error I seem to get quite regularly on Presentation Server 3. It seems to usually happen just after a change of the summary database password but I have seen other times. The answer is simple but doesn’t seem that easy to find on the Citrix forums so I thought I’d put it here.

If you view the server log in resource manager and all the imports are successful apart from the server with the connection to the database on then it seems to be caused by some corrupt Summary Files. Simply delete them from the location below and this seems to solve the problem alot of the time.

c:\Program Files\Citrix\Citrix Resource Manager\Summary Files
