Just last month I was ranting and raving about how great the load testing software ThnGenius was. On the 14th March Citrix bought the company. How will this affect customers like you and me?

Well for starters they’ve immediately whacked the price up. One of the great advantages of ThinGenius compared to other load testing software was it’s price at $6450 for a 100 virtual user pack. I was still using an evaluation version which is just about to expire so was just ready to pirchase the 100 user pack. It’s now $7500 for a 50 user pack and $5000 for aditional packs!
That said however this is still a good price for this type of software and it really is an excellent product. The Citrix website mentions it will add value to the Edgesite product and I was concerned that it wouldn’t remain a seperate product. After speaking to the Edgesite team they have assured me that it will remain seperate and there are no plans as yet to bundle it with anything else.
