Prince2 Self Study

17th May 2007

Self study for the Prince2 exams is alot cheaper than booking an official course. To become a Prince2 Practitioner you must first pass the multiple choice (75 questions) one hour foundation exam, followed by the 3 hour, open book written exam. If you are in the UK, the exams can be taken in either Milton Keynes, Chester or York and booked here. They only seem to do them on a Friday (which is a pain) and they are also not cheap compared with other exams such as ITIL (£100). It costs £190 for the Foundation, £350 for the Practioner or £540 for both (all prices include VAT.) You cannot take the Practitioner exam until you have passed the Foundation.

With other Project managers I have recently  spent alot of time making comprehensive study guides for both exams which include sample questions, how to gain extra points and answers to several types of potential questions such as quality, risk, seting up Project teams etc, charts and matrixes showing how all the processes, techniques and components link to each other and more. The aim is with these guides and the official book you need nothing else to pass the exams, allowing you to gain the qualifications as cheaply as possible. The guides are going to cost  just £25 each and be available over the next few weeks. If you are interested then please email prince2@johnkellett.co.uk and I will do a half price offer.
