26th November 2006

The art of using performance monitor is a fairly easy one to acquire but can be one of the most useful skills for troubleshooting all sorts of problems. Talking of free software - How about Citrix Presentation Server?

16th November 2006

I’ve always found it difficult to get Evaluation versions of Citrix Presentation server. You have to go through a reseller and they aren’t getting anything out of it so aren’t overly keen to help. They have to speak to Citrix and basically put a business case forward of how Citrix are going to make money out of this evaluation version. Finally they have made two free licenses available for development purposes. Simply logon to the new MyCitrix and go to downloads. Great if you’re studying for the Citrix exams.

Citrix Appoint me as a member of their Citrix Technology Professional (CTP) Program

10th October 2006

I received an email the other day from Citrix. They have appointed me as a member to their Citrix Technology Professional (CTP) program. It is similair to the Microsft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) program and something I am quite proud to have acheieved paticularly when I look at the list of names of the other CTP members. Congratulations to the other CTPs who were also appointed. Unfortunately I won’t be able to make it to the CTP summit at IForum as I am just starting a 4 week contract. Note to Citrix - I would like to put a CTP logo on my website but don’t think one exists yet.

Does Longhorn spell the end of the road for Citrix Presentation Server? Vote Now

2nd September 2006

Poll

This is a question that has already been asked many times but I would love to know what you guys think? With Longhorn offering many enhancements such as published applications and a web interface to Terminal Services will companies be able to justify the extra cost of Citrix Presentation Server (or whatever they call the next version)? I have included a poll for you to vote on this and the results are available for all to see. You will need to register to vote for the sake of fairness however others will not be able to see what way you voted.
