I’ve just switched off the option that allows readers of this blog to leave comments. The reason for this is it’s taking me several hours to wade through the spam every night of automatically generated comments. Apologies to those of you who leave genuine comments but feel free to email me instead (negative or positive comments welcome.)

SkinnyPC are launching a thin client unit for the home next week. I have been trialling it for a week now and have been impressed. Thin clients have traditionaly been used in businesses but with ever increasing network speeds it’s a suprise no one else seems to offer this service.

When I was looking at the site stats the other day I noticed that alot of the hits I was getting were from Germany, Spain and other countries. As these are obviously not native English speaking contries I thought it would be handy if I could get the pages translated. As all I can do is ask for a beer in a few languages doing it myself was out of the question. Luckily I came across this plugin which seems to do the trick using Babelfish and google translate. If anyone is looking at this site in translated form I’d love to know how well the tranlsations come across. Just click on any of the flags in the left hand column and hey presto, the whole site is translated into a language of your choice!

Hello and welcome to my site. My name as you probably have guessed is John Kellett and I am a UK based Citrix and Windows consultant. The purpose of this site is primarily as a resource for prospective employers to find out a bit more about what I can do than a CV can offer. However, I also aim to be publishing several articles and “How to” guides for some of the day to day stuff us IT consultants come across.
