I have just found out that people are not allowed to create any training material for Prince2 without a license from APMG . I am in the process of finding out how much it would cost but suspect it  won’t be cheap. What a waste of time that was!

Prince2 Self Study

Self study for the Prince2 exams is alot cheaper than booking an official course. To become a Prince2 Practitioner you must first pass the multiple choice (75 questions) one hour foundation exam, followed by the 3 hour, open book written exam. If you are in the UK, the exams can be taken in either Milton Keynes, Chester or York and booked here. They only seem to do them on a Friday (which is a pain) and they are also not cheap compared with other exams such as ITIL (£100). It costs £190 for the Foundation, £350 for the Practioner or £540 for both (all prices include VAT.) You cannot take the Practitioner exam until you have passed the Foundation.

As you know this website has primarily been based on Server Based Computing Articles. This was beause working in the industry I was able to blog about day to day things that happened to me in this field. Over the years i have gradually been moving more and more into Project management and away from the technical side

Thin Clients for the Home

SkinnyPC are launching a thin client unit for the home next week. I have been trialling it for a week now and have been impressed. Thin clients have traditionaly been used in businesses but with ever increasing network speeds it’s a suprise no one else seems to offer this service.
